CABLE RAILWAY Podbaba–Troja–Bohnice

COMPETITION CONDITIONS:
13) REQUEST FOR PARTICIPATION

13.1 Application form
Candidates shall submit an application for participation in the competition to the contracting authority, in which they shall provide information about themselves, a maximum of 2 reference projects and shall prove that they meet the terms and conditions for participation in the competition in the form of an affidavit in accordance with template PP.02.
The reference projects presented shall be of similar typology or operational or technological complexity. The subject of the competition is a transport structure with a complex operation that is both structurally and technologically challenging.
It is presumed that if a contestant can present a project similar to or closely related to the subject of the competition (i.e. cableway stations) in the reference projects, they will do so. This fact will also be taken into account in the evaluation of the reference projects. Similarly, it will be better evaluated if the reference project presented has already been implemented.

13.1.1 Method of application:
The application shall be submitted in the form of a single PDF file entitled 'Application' via an electronic tool.

13.1.2 Content of the application:
The application shall be made on 4 A4 pages in portrait format and shall include:
a) Page 1: cover page with details of the applicant (completed document PP.01)
b) Pages 2 and 3: a maximum of 2 reference projects (one page each) displayed with any presentation. The reference project may be a study or a competition proposal. For the projects, the information will be (1) author, team and collaborators, if applicable, (2) location, (3) date of study/design/project and, if applicable, year of successful completion of the design phase from planning permission to implementation, (4) construction investor/commissioner of the study/design/project, (5) construction cost, if applicable, calculation/estimate of investment costs. In addition, (6) gross floor area will be indicated.
c) Page 4: an affidavit (completed Exhibit PP.02) by which the participant demonstrates compliance with the conditions for participation in the competition.
In the case of multiple contestants demonstrating compliance, the number of pages of the application may be increased by the appropriate number of affidavits, i.e. completed PP.02.

13.2 Deadline for submission of the application
The closing date for the submission of applications for participation is 30. 05. 2022, 14:00 CET, at which time the time of receipt by electronic tool shall be decisive.

13.2.1 Late submission
If an application has not been received by the Contracting Authority within the time limit or in the manner specified in these Conditions (i.e. by electronic means), it shall not be deemed to have been submitted at all and shall not be taken into account during this procedure.

13.3 Reduction in the number of participants
The contracting authority will decide on the reduction of the number of participants on the basis of the opinion of the jury, which will assess the submitted applications as a whole according to the degree of fulfilment of the criterion - quality of the urban-architectural design of the building or design (reference projects).

The jury will look for the potential of the reference projects to fulfil the subject of the competition and will give a higher score under the above criterion to those reference projects which are identical in subject matter to the subject of the competition (i.e. cableway stations) or very closely related to the subject of the competition (e.g. stations, stops, terminals) and will also give a higher score under the above criterion to reference projects which have been implemented.
The decision to reduce the number of participants will be sent to the participants within 5 working days of the decision by the contracting authority. The contracting authority will invite the selected participants to submit competitive proposals. It is expected that 5 participants will be invited to submit competitive proposals.
