Slavie České Budějovice

Juraj Thoma studied archeology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. He then joined the Institute of Conservation in České Budějovice as an archaeologist and since 1995 he has worked in the South Bohemian Museum in České Budějovice. In 2002 he became the first deputy mayor and in 2006 to 2014 he was mayor of České Budějovice. Since 2018, he has been the first Deputy Mayor with responsibility for culture, strategic development and spatial planning. He is the author and co-author of several publications in the field of history and archeology.

He graduated from the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Písek with a graduation from the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Hluboká nad Vltavou. He has long been involved in the construction and reconstruction of buildings. He worked as construction manager at ABStav s.r.o. and as Managing Director for P&P Service s.r.o., then for JSP Group s.r.o. In 2014 he became a representative of the city of České Budějovice.

Daniel Turek graduated in Musicology at Masaryk University in Brno. Since 2005 he has been a member of the Cultural Committee of the České Budějovice Council, which he chaired in 2006–2010 and 2015–2018. He is also a member of the Committee for Culture and Tourism of the South Bohemian Region. He has worked in tourism and in the banking sector.

Jan Klein studied architecture and civil engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at CTU. He is an authorized energy auditor and authorized engineer. He focuses primarily on designing residential buildings, but also development activities. In 2014 he founded his own architectural and design studio - Atelier Klein and in 2019 he founded his own construction company Klein Building. Since 2018 he has been a representative of the town of České Budějovice and became a co-founder of the Clean Budweiss movement.

Šimon Heller studied mathematics and geography at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. He worked as a teacher at a primary school in Kaplice, as an assistant to a deputy of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and then as a teacher at a grammar school in Třeboň. Since 2014 he has been a member of the Transport Committee of the City Council of České Budějovice and since 2019 a member of the City Council of České Budějovice and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the City Council of České Budějovice.

Ivan Nadberežný graduated in 1981 from the Faculty of Journalism, Charles University in Prague. He worked for 21 years in the Czech News Agency, the army press and in the Jihočeská pravda daily. Since 1990 he has been working in the field of publishing. He is the representative of the city of České Budějovice for the eighth parliamentary term. He was also a representative of South Bohemian region for two terms. He took part in the work of the Territorial and Control Committees, the Commission for Architecture and Urban Planning, the South Bohemian Committee for innovation and he was also member of committees for the implementation of the city's investments.

Jan Piskač graduated from the Theater Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (2001). He is a teacher of speech and rhetoric, creative writing and public performance, a writer, translator, comedian and singer. He worked at the Lycée Carnot Dijon in France, at Boomerang Theater Company Cork in Ireland, TeaK Helsinki in Finland and at Dom mladih in Split, Croatia. He is a member of the City Council of České Budějovice.
